Tinnitus Solution (Tension – Anxiety)

Tinnitus Solution (Tension - Anxiety) Are you experiencing a clenched jaw, muscle tightness, headaches and weakness in your extremities?

How Tension Caused by Tinnitus Affects Your Everyday Life

Tinnitus Solution (TensionAnxiety) Are you experiencing a clenched jaw, muscle tightness, headaches and weakness in your extremities? Is tension suddenly your constant companion?  This could all be the result of tension, a symptom of tinnitus.

You must realize that tinnitus causes mental and physical disruption all day and night. When your mind and body are dealing with all these different symptoms and side effects, they tend to hold tension.

This can lead to your physical body becoming tense, cramps and muscle pain or it can lead to mental tension that makes you irritable, causes headaches and eyestrain. Tension is right up there with anxiety and stress as symptoms that trigger other symptoms of tinnitus.

Simply Relaxing Won’t Cut It

It may be easy to think that all you need to do is relax and the tension will go away, but it’s much harder to actually find that level of relaxation when you are dealing with tinnitus. Lack of sleep, lack of relaxation and lack of rest for your body all lead to tension.

One of the best ways to relieve tension is to stop worrying about everything. Make it a habit to only worry about one thing at a time. Try to put the tinnitus noises out of your mind. You will find that as soon as you are able to not think about the ringing or whooshing noises, your tension and anxiety levels will decrease. As those levels decrease, so to will your tinnitus levels. It is a win-win situation that you really must strive to attain.

The constant noises you hear combined with the other symptoms of the condition are all mixed together making your mind and body a whirlwind of activity, even when you want nothing more than to close your eyes and go to sleep. The sooner you can train your mind to ignore the tinnitus, the sooner your will start experiencing relief from the tension that tinnitus causes.

Get Moving!

Improving your fitness levels is important for multiple reasons. Even if you can only manage 20 minutes of walking 3 or 4 times a week, the exercise you are doing will help relax you and dramatically improve your immune system. This might sound fanciful, but this level of walking is enough to help you in many ways.

  1. You will have time to think and reflect on issues that may be worrying you
  2. You wont be thinking about your tinnitus or stress levels whilst out walking
  3. Your health will improve, leading to better sleep
  4. Sleeping better will lead you to enjoy life more
  5. You will find your appetite improves
  6. Because you will be drinking more water, your immune system will start getting stronger again
  7. This in turn means you won’t be catching every little bug that is doing the rounds
  8. An all round improvement of your health will naturally lead to you experiencing less anxiety, tension and obviously less or lower levels of tinnitus noises
